I would like to discuss WPA3, the newest update to the Wireless Password Standard in 14 years. A big instigator for the new WPA standard is the recent emergence of the Krack Wifi Vulnerability, which allows attackers to view or even augment your unencrypted WiFi traffic. WPA3 will bolster traditionally “weak” password, allowing for easier to remember yet still secure natural passwords
With the update to WPA3 we can expect to see other conveniences, like data encryption over open hotspots, and for WPA3 -Enterprise, a boost to 192-bit encryption as opposed to the 128-bit encryption key included with WEP or TKIP.
Through this security upgrade, one can expect to expect much better Confidentiality, especially on an open network, and Availability should be expected to increase as well, as wireless passwords will no longer need to be 25 character immemorable passphrases with numbers, characters, and no cohesion. Integrity is also bolstered by WPA3, with the requirement of Protected Management Frames, which protect information from being copied, forged, or edited along the wire. Or wireless.
